Ok, I've just had word that the US shipment has arrived, which is great.
I also received the bill from NZ customs for the NZ shipment - it was higher than expected, which is a pain, but possibly not surprising given they had Bagthulhus for a week. They're lucky to still be functionally sane.
So now I wait for the NZ shipment to arrive, hopefully early next week. Then I do the quality checks and send the info to the fulfillment partners, who do their quality checks, and all going well we start fulfilling.
Shipping addresses have now been locked. If you need to make any last minute changes please let me know within 24 hours.

Ok, some updates:
EU
The shipment for the EU has been released, we're currently waiting on the VAT bill.
US and Canada
The tracking isn't showing any new information at this stage, so I'll be following up once the week I said I'd wait has finished.
NZ, Australia, and other places
The shipment has been stopped by customs, I've filled out some forms and sent them some more information. I get the feeling they're just confused about what Bagthulhus actually are.
Shipping Addresses
Two days ago, everyone still waiting on their reward should have received an email to check and update their shipping address if needed. Addresses have now been locked. If you didn't get the email and/or need to update your shipping details, please get in touch with me ASAP. I can't guarantee it (depending on timing) but I may be able to update your address manually.
EU Shipment

Sorry to bug you again so soon but I just got notice that the EU shipment has landed so I might as well update everyone on progress:
EU
Half of the shipment has been released, while the other half is still in customs. I was expecting it to take two weeks, so it's a pleasant surprise.
We don't know how long customs will take to sort out their charges, so that's a bit of a question mark, but we can start with some of the quality control checks in the meantime.
US and Canada
The tracking info says "shipment ready for UPS" which is a bit confusing, I think the tracking site might not track the importing part, if it isn't updated within a week I'll follow it up. It's a waiting game.
NZ/Australia/other
According to the tracking, it has left the Hong Kong sorting facility but not left the country yet. That being said the estimated delivery date I've been sent is Friday, so we're playing the waiting game.

Once all the shipments have arrived my aim is to spend a couple of days doing random quality checks, then take photos and send that to the fulfillment centres so they know what to look for in their checks, and hopefully everything comes up clear, and we can start fulfilling ^__^
It's a bit early, but so that we're prepared, I'm going to send out reminders to confirm shipping addresses, so if you haven't gotten your reward yet, and you don't see a reminder email about confirming your shipping address, head to bagthulhu.backerkit.com and enter you email in the lost survey box, it should send you a link to confirm your details. If that doesn't work, let me know and I can check manually.

According to what the manufacturer told me, the shipments should be on their way by now. I've asked for tracking information and am currently waiting for the response.
We don't strictly HAVE to confirm shipping addresses for backers at this point, and there's still some hurdles ahead that might slow us down. But for the sake of feeling like I'm doing something while we wait, I want to ask you lovely folks to double check your shipping addresses now so there's less of a rush when we need to confirm and lock them down later.

Type your kickstarter email in the "Lost survey" box
It will send you a link to check and update your details

Ok, we've made the next big scary step. Large and scary balance payments have gone through, confirmation has been sent, and hopefully very soon the shipments will be on their way.
It's supposed to take 10-14 days for transit, and hopefully they'll get away before Chinese New Year, when everything shuts down for a bit. From there it'll be whatever taxes and duties the poor customs official drew the short straw and has to dive into a small ocean of Bagthulhus decides to charge, and then the shipments will go to the fulfillment centres, where they'll be processed and checked, then, all going well, we start fulfillment.
